Miele Space Station Developed in partnership with 2012 Architecten (now Superuse Studios Rotterdam), this modular mobile architecture unit emerged for Parasite Paradise 2003 as an early experiment in material transformation. Washing machine drums and doors formed distinctive façade modules, while refrigerator doors provided insulated façade elements, their built-in insulation panels offering thermal performance. Car tires functioned as flexible facade components, their inherent elasticity creating adaptive, weather-responsive enclosures. Old sailcloth stretched across frames completed the envelope. This pilot project demonstrated how industrial household waste streams could generate functional architecture—a futuristic capsule assembled entirely from appliance carcasses, automotive rubber, and maritime textiles. This collaboration laid groundwork for both Superuse’s circular design
